Hey guys, I drew a cow tag over in the manashtash area for this year and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to go?

Anywhere between Taneum creek and Tamarack springs would be my choice,or top of Joe Watt canyon towards Robinson canyon  :twocents:

The Clearing off the back side of Tamarack Springs  directly out of teh actual litttle fenced in area around the spring itself is pretty much a give me on the cow tag they tend to move through there day and night on a regular basis. Patients with all the people moving through the area is key it is hard to get very far away from them with roads every which way you look.  What season did you draw your cow tag for modern?  Wish you luck on a successful hunt.  I have taken several cows out of that area in the 17 years i've been hunting there. :)

Check the area north of buck meadows and east of the out house trail road.  I have hunted GMU 340 for 15 years mostly archery and you should have really good chances on harvesting a cow.  Last time I rifle hunted in that unit it was over run with hunters. Get over the road a ways and you should be in good shape.
