Do you rally take that shot? Keeping in mind that you probably won't be that close to that many during the season, do you really take a chance on a once in a lifetime animal, blood pumping, adrenaline flowing...? One slight flinch and you take out the ham of that little guy. I think I'd wait a few seconds for them to spread out a bit. That's the one I would shoot though. Sheep experts... is that the best one?

lol No, I wouldn't take that shot, I would hit the little one for sure. That is the one I would single out though.

I'm not expert but what about the one in the far back whose left side is hidden by the sheep in front of him. I think he has potential too but would need to see the rest of him

Yeah, I think that one in the back that is hidden is better now that I study them. Horn looks heavier as it goes towards the tip. I know absolutely zero about judging sheep though. I try not to get too interested in them so as to avert the dreaded SOS (sheep obsession syndrome).

too risky of a shot with all of them so close, out of that group that is probably the best ram though, he was my #1 ram until about three weeks before the season I thought he was the one. But he is still on the hill today.
The ram that has part of his horn hidden is a good one too but the horn you can't see was broomed quite a bit, he was a dandy though.
Can't tell you how many hours of my life I lost looking at all those pics last summer dreaming of rams, it was alot, lol.
