WY Antelope posted - Who got drawn?
« on: June 24, 2011, 07:27:43 AM »
I got drawn for 70.   It was our 3rd choice this year, better than not getting the buck tag.
Now they need to post the walk-in area info so the computor/map scouting can begin.  :)

15 people got tags out of 19 that applied with 4 or more points in the max point pool in my unit.  Guess who was one of the unlucky 4 that did not draw.  I guess my luck had to run out at some time.  Bad thing is my buddies who had 5 points drew out and now I don't get to hunt with them.  The odds from the year before sure didn't hold up this year. :bash:

Do they not have a group hunt option in WY?

Yes they do but I had one less point than them.  The plan was for me to put in in the Special drawing, which was guaranteed to draw with one less than max points last year.  They were going to put in in the Regular draw with max points this year, which had very high odds of drawing last year.  Basically the odds flopped on us this year and more people put in for special this year as opposed to last year.  I didn't want to drag there points down with my one less point.  Clear as mud.

Just points for me this year, but I want to see how many people got drawn...
I am awaiting the Montana results, but won't see those until August.. :(

I have some maps of the area for you since I won't be needing them.  My research on the unit however is gonna cost you a couple of beers for payment.

Area 30 is a 100% draw and is a great option for 2nd and 3rd choice as it has left over tags---Problem, alot of private lands..

You're right Clint, your luck was bound to run out sooner or later. I think I have 4 points for WY antelope. Maybe we can hook up next year depending on what Jimmy comes home with.
