waterfowl hunting near kettle falls???

anyone hunt or know about the waterfowl hunting near kettle falls or colville??? ik its a big area for turkey hunting... but what about the geese and ducks on or around the lake?? any info at all would be great :chuckle:

tried it last year very few birds around might be ok in the early season but dont try it in december no good.

I know some people hunt the pend oreille (sp?) river quite a bit for divers

do they shoot alot of divers? i have heard recently that the pend orielle was good for all waterfowl last fall and winter... im going to be moving back to the kettle falls area again here shortly and i never hunted waterfowl when i lived there. and im wondering how that genral area is for ducks and geese?

Haven't hunted near kettle before but I have hunted the pend oreille and did pretty good on divers, mallards and widgeon and every once in awhile a couple geese thrown in. good luck.

thank you for the info... im goin to be moving back to that area again (had to go to work in yakima) but im goin to be back in that area again and plan to hunt ducks and geese around home... anyone ever hunt the colville river??

Yeah jump shooting the colville river is pretty good. Or jump shooting from kettle falls up flat creek to northport.  Another good fun hunt is to put in a canoe at the arden bridge and float down the colville river to oakshot road or to the radio tower.

thank you for the info... i have seen guys duck hunting in canoes when i was younger when i was fishing for the big fall brown trout maybe it was you haha
