New arrow rest by trophy ridge any good?
« on: August 09, 2011, 04:59:25 PM »
I've heard some good things about the new evolution arrow rest by trophy ridge. Anyone know anything about them?  http://www.trophyridge.com/arrow-rests/revolution/

I saw that down at the archery shop.  Price looked good but had never heard of it before.

Looks pretty sweet. I watched a quick youtube vid on it. I've been shooting WB's forever since I like the containment, but have been leaning towards a dropper. I'll be curious to see if any guys here shoot one and how they like it.

Put a micro adjust one on my assassin probably a month ago and I love it. Its super fast, super quiet, very reliable, easy to set up. Never had any problems with it. Very well built and there's not another drop away out there that provide that kind of containment. It has never failed on me and I would recomend it to anyone who likes the containment of a WB but would like a drop away. And there almost the same price as the WB.

Dang! Its looking like new broad heads might not be the only thing I have left to buy before the season :chuckle: Nah, my WB's dialed in right now, I prob wouldn't change until after this season. I was wondering if it was loud or not. So far it sounds pretty good.

How will it do with some Pacific NW rain?  That would suck if it slowed way down.  Your arrows would go flying.

I shot it at the ATA in January.  Seemed very nice and well made.  I know they field tested it in some real harsh environments up north last season.  I don't expect the NW weather to be a problem with it.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I shot with a guy in our group at a the Kenmore 3d shoot and he had it on a Hoyt Alphaburner. I was amazed at how quiet it was and he really liked it. He said that once it was set up properly it was awesome. It definitly had me wondering about getting one.

I liked what I saw.

Yeah I'm wanting to switch from a wb. I love the full containment but hate how I have to buy a replacement biscuit every year because it freys. For those who have one, was it hard to set up and get used to? I will be hunting the elk opener but I have to buy a replacement biscuit or change rests. Any opinions ?
