Don't worry it'll happen in due time. Yesterday I saw two small pups at 600 yards out back of my place, they were about the height of my house cat. I shot at the one and hit his right paw, didn't have enough wind on him. Seen three total yesterday and two day before. Have 5 or 6 living across the road from me and hear them howling most every night. Yesterdays dog was a very small pup and difficult target with the 20 - 25 mph winds and I was trying out some new loads for a 22-250. I'm trying for the 600 to 1000 yard kill, getting closer all the time.

Right now pup distress works great but I ain't calling them yet, too early in the year.
Checkin' wind and makin' smoke.
That's how I roll...

so far in this state Ive had no luck. Ive shot coyotes in tx and ok.. I think there are more there and they respond better to calls. Just gotta keep trying. I know theyre out there. This year I didnt spring for the bear and cougar tags though so I havent tried too much. I would hate to call in something that I cant shoot. Shouldve bought the whole package, but last years bad luck didnt give me a lot of hope. I dont really like going alone either and nobody ever wants to join me.

Sounds like you're gonna hit the jackpot soon with those odds!

I made that mistake too!  :bash:

It all or ... well, ALL from now on for me.
