What's your trigger weight?

If you know, What is the trigger weight on your go to hunting rifle? It is a stock trigger or adjustable custom trigger?

The triggers on all my rifles are between 2#&3#

Most my triggers are adjusted to around 2.5lbs. I do have a few that come in right around 3-3.5lbs I don't like any more then that. I also have some set in the 1lb range that are long range guns.

My 270 and 30-06- both at 2 1/4. One is a aftermarket trigger in a Weatherby Vanguard (Timney) and the other is my stock Browning A Bolt trigger, but with a custom spring.

1.5 # on most of my guns kinda light but that is what im used to and if you shoot long range a light trigger is the way to go .....Imo..

I don't even know how much a trigger job costs--or how to measure poundage.

A lot of guns out there can be adjusted with stock triggers. They have a trigger scale that measures the breaking point.

Multiple trigger weights has caused some poor shots on my part.  My 22-250 is 1 lb.  My muzzleloaders between 3 and 4, my big rifles all about 2 1/2 and I got a savage 17 with this stupid accutrigger that I'm not sure. Got a 45/70 thats probably 6 lbs.  My pellet gun you pull halfway before its ready to shoot.  I don't target practice as much as I used too and man do I have to think about which gun I'm holding.  Even my 2 trigger releases for my bow are different.  I have put out some poor shots on coyotes whith my light trigger on my 22-250 just getting ready for the shot, and muzzleloaders being open sites and all at longer ranges I have to really concentrate not to fudge.  And I haven't even got to the shotguns. Around the house are 3 rifles ready to go with 3 completely different triggers.......and its definently made me miss on that factor alone.  I like to switch things up just to keep it interesting and each gun has its uses.

Spend a couple months playing with a new gun then grab an old one and wow...what a difference.  Wish there was more time to just go shooting.  Gotta make time I guess.

My Encore trigger is right about 3.5#. The nice thing with that rig is 3 different calibers use the same trigger/stock/action. Once you get used to the trigger, you don't get "unused" to it.

i adjusted my cz trigger down to about 3 pounds regular and the set trigger is probably below a pound(heavier than a lot of set triggers).....I only use the set trigger on the range while grouping since a crisp 3 pounds is my hunting prefference.   

i've used set triggers that go off if you even think about pulling them. Some people use them every kill but not me.

It was $15 when I bought the trigger spring kit a few years ago, but I see it has doubled in price. Still a good deal. You can easily install it yourself. If I can do it, anybody can. All you need is a screwdriver.
