Wolf killed in Elk City

A young female wolf was shot by an Idaho County sheriff’s deputy Saturday after a homeowner at Elk City reported seeing the animal in his backyard.
Sheriff Doug Giddings said Monday the wolf was one of several that have been spotted coming into the town of Elk City recently.

“There’s too many wolves,” Giddings said. “They’ve moved into Elk City.”
Giddings said it is not known whether the wolf that was killed had been harassing livestock or people, but there have been such reports in the past.

Elk City Deputy Mike Chlebowski was summoned to the residence Saturday night and shot the wolf, which ran off into the woods, Giddings said. Deputy Stan Denham drove to Elk City Sunday and the two deputies tracked the wolf down and killed it.
Giddings said the sheriff’s department has been authorized by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game to kill wolves in the Elk City township.

The carcass has been turned over to the state, the sheriff said.
“This is the first one our department has killed,” Giddings said. “But it won’t be the last.”

Idaho County Deputies Stan Denham (left) and Mike Chlebowski shot this 90-pound female wolf after it was spotted in Elk City on Saturday.

Did you guys catch that they shot it in the back yard of a home in Elk City, it ran off and they found it the next day?

Wolves are coming into town looking for food, which is why the deputees can shoot them anywhere in the township.

So we did right thing to get rid of wolves.  No reason to keep them here.  I guess today Environmental Group never learn why we did right in 1928's.

Here we go all over again and we all clean all their mess with our costs and wasted millions dollar for all lousy Educated from Wolf-adovates people. How about E.G. pay for their duty to manage it. Since E.G. took all our money for all damage they done to.
