OK, that makes sense. I have always liked the open mouth head turned mount for elk.

OK, I have finally got back to this mount and worked on the rocks. Here are some pictures kind of showing the process of building the rock pile. I cant beleive how many hours I have in making rocks
I wish every mount I did was this fun!!!
The first set are the rocks being built with chicken wire , burlap soked in plaster of Parris, and alot of hand work

This next set pf pictures are the rocks after the armeture has dried hard. I thin applied my special Rock mix over the armeture and textured.

ANd the last step and the funnest step is putting color to the rocks to hopefully make them realistic. Hope you guys like my project so far, Im having fun with it!!
