For those that can't afford Adobe Lightroom
« on: July 08, 2011, 07:14:19 AM »
I just found a knock off of Adobe Lightroom that I'm trying out for a few days. So far it looks and acts pretty much the same as Adobe Lightroom without the hefty price tag.

I thought it might help someone out, so here is the link to a 30 day trial:

I've got Adobe LR and the wife actually likes it very well. It's a very simple platform and easy to use. yes spendy but that's Adobe for you. It's nice to see something similar and cheaper out there.

I used PowerDirector to edit my DVD's up for the hunting party this year. Worked great!  I'm sure the photo editing works well too.

Last night I did some photo taking for my Aunt and Uncle's 60th. Year Class Reunion. When I got home I tried out the Cyberlink Photo Director software. It did an Awesome job on the photos! It's very easy to use, has pretty much the same controls as Adobe Lightroom (except the control panel is on the left side of the screen) and the workflow was nice, smooth and fast! Plus it had No Problem handling the Large Canon RAW Images out of my Canon 7D camera.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Adobe Lightroom gets a 10 and Photo Director gets a 9.5; so if anyone out there is looking for a high quality Photo Editing software, you owe it to yourself to give Photo Director a try!

I just wish I would have found this program before I paid the price for my new Adobe Lightroom! :(
