Mine was supposed to be any deer too.  Just looked and it says antlerless, reg's say any deer....
Booo....
I would not have put in if I knew I could only shoot a doe.

I am pretty sure the only time you can kill a 2nd buck in this state is with a raffle permit or auction tag

All the island tags went from any deer to antlerless this year for second deer.

Well it seemed at the time anyway, that they changed it in the paper regs but not on the online reg's. I can't open the regs on this pc, there's something that needs to be done to it so I can open PDF doc's but it said when I put in, that the Guemes permit was for any deer. The paper regs definitely say it's antlerless.

I think the paper regs prevail because that is the circulated copy.  I noticed last year that some of the descriptions changed from the early online regs to the circulated regs other than the major changes that they noted.

Actually, the online version is more "correct" because they update it to fix any mistakes that were made in the pamphlet.

All of the changes will be listed here:

Under the tag required - several say "any deer tag", which means that it is not specific to archery, modern, or muzzleloader.  Any of you folks getting confused on this point?

I went back and looked at the regs that I saved to my desktop within a day of when it was released by WDFW and all of the second deer show as "antlerless".  So they either corrected it really quickly or some of you may have been mistaken.

That's a good point. That must be what's causing the confusion. I also just went and looked at my pdf version of the regs, which I saved to my computer on April 14th, and every hunt listled under 2nd deer tags is for antlerless deer only.

I just wonder why they did not highlight these hunts in red since there were changes made from the previous year?

I'd like to know what their reasoning was for this.  Seems kind of pointless given the population dynamics out here.

I don't know where I went wrong....really don't care too much either. If I can find a place to hunt, I'll go shoot a deer. If anyone has the inside scoop on Guemes Island and cares to share, I'm all ears. I got a map with a couple small pieces of public ground already.
