Lincoln County Mule Deer! (Updated)
« on: July 01, 2011, 06:45:12 PM »
Ok guys, just got home from picking this guy up from the taxidermist. These were a set of sheds that I picked up back in 2007. Not bad for Lincoln County. I have seen 3-4 others in the same area the last couple of years that will go just as big and bigger.
Let me know what you guys think it scores then I will tell ya what I came up with!
The mount was done by Daydreamn.

163" or so...neat buck.
I think he's bigger than 150 because he's got the front forks going for him.

I suck at this game anyway so I'm probably wrong.

Yeah that's gotta be at least 170. I've got a buck that scores 163, and yours is bigger.

I think he is bigger than you guys think. He's got good beams, great 4's, good eyeguards, and pretty good 2's.  I'm going to ball park it at 175 6/8" :chuckle:
That is a great looking buck no matter what he scores. I'd shoot that buck anyday.

I see a solid 170 with those fronts, but would never guess 180.

I'm not surprised. That buck has just about everything. They don't get much better than that! I'm not much of an expert on scoring deer, but I'd guess what helps that buck is the symmetry and the long tine lengths.

For Lincoln County, Yes that's a dandy set. Not trying to step on your honey hole, I hunt Lincoln County also. We are on private land northeast of town. Where, roughly are you talking about. Years ago I pulled a really nice 3 point of the Swanson Lake DNR land. This buck came from the private land we are on. Around the Mill canyon area. You have another 30 inches on my boy. Very nice mount.
