Ok did some data inputs to find my best time at ambushing a deer  This data was taken from my camera times, and only one time was recorded per deer. IE a deer sets off my camera 47 times in a set, only 1 time is taken vs the 47 of that one deer in a few minutes.

Apparently waiting till the modern season has not quite sunk in.  Not sure you understand that a bow is considered a modern weapon!  If you have not bought your archery tag you can wait till late October or 3rd weekend in Nov. to kill a buck that will be chasin your pretty does.  Something tells me that you're so jacked to shoot anything that October is far far too long to wait.   A doe is a good place to start and still good eatin anyway.  Just wait for one that doesnt have milk on its lips or a little one with milk on its lips running closely behind.

Pretty brazen post! I have my archery tag, and have already stated I wont shoot a doe with fawns.

after reading all these posts ...all I can tell ya is hunt with whatever you want and whenever you want ...it is very obvisious your excited to get after it and thats what it is all about bud !!! once you have killed many then you can get picky but till then whack & stack all you can ...plus you have stated you would not kill a doe with fawns and I like that Idea...I also can not believe there is no bucks coming into your set up ...thats strange ...I know there are many over there .....whack the biggest - fattest doe you can .....I am all in for ya !!  :yeah:

Really surprised that you do not have bucks coming in... they have to be there somewhere... but I would whack the first big doe!  The bucks I have here are already nocturnal.... and won't be coming out during legal hunting until the rut.  I won't be after a blacktail till the last few days of the season since I will concentrating on elk until it closes.  Pretty confident I will fill both my deer tags and my kids will fill there's also!  Their's will be first, I get a much bigger thrill out of them getting their deer, so they get first shots.

I plan on getting one of those dry does that keep posing for the camera on opening day/weekend :chuckle: One of the pics I have from the camera has little buttons on his head, and I almost didnt notice them unitl I blew the pic up, other than that about 20 different does and fawns on that property.  My main goal is filling the freezer this year before I rotate back to sea duty

Got a buck ( very small) friday on my second hunting plot.  Sat in the stand day after day and the dry does didnt show, or not within shooting distance.
