1010 is just the Marengo unit and Dayton unit minus the National Forest part of the Dayton unit.  So it's basically a private land hunt with a couple token sections of state land thrown in to let you feel like you have a place to go.  Great hunt if you have relatives with land there.
:yeah:
If you're referring to Elk Area 1010, it is entirely within the Dayton GMU, not the Marengo GMU.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

That's true Bob.  1010 is all within the Dayton unit. BUT,  if you are applying for the special permit hunt called 'ten-ten', the discription of area list elk unit 1010 PLUS the marengo unit (163?)   So, I think this is where confusion is coming from.  wdfw (old Native american word for confusion)  Hahahaha

So who drew these 1010 tags? Are they any good?

I wouldn't waste my time applying for a tag where I didn't already have a place to hunt....  :twocents: If there is any question about access and scouting I will not apply..... Good luck!!!!

You should catch the threads on OR's huntin/Fishin websites regarding the Willamette 600 series tags, you'd love it!!
