Yeah, lots of the roads are generally closed.  I know I talked to my folks yesterday when they were in town and they had a couple different grizzlies running round the place over the weekend, Dad figures it's a boar chasing a sow.  But yeah we have always done well on blackies around there as well.  If you head over to look for blackies, focus on whale creek road and trail creek road.  But just like where you live, just as likely to see a griz over there as a blackie.  My bro saw two 2 1/2 year old twin griz on whale creek over the weekend as well.  Hit trail creek during huckleberry season and you'l find the blackies and the griz in the slides in the evening pretty regular.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

the hatch still calls the yak it's home waters...but they are also pushing trips on the jurassic river, or the upper columbia. that is huge water with some huge rainbows to be had. there was some pic's posted on here a whole back of one that miles caught up there if i remember correctly. it looks like a neat trip.
not sure who owns the shop or the guide bizz, but they share the same website.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
