I was hunting coyotes in the Sinlehekin on February 28th when I heard a pack of wolves howling. I went and got my camera and managed to photograph one of them at about 350 yards away. This pack is near Forde Lake at the base of the Sinlehekin wall.
He might have a collar, Did you happen to notice?
It is spring, what ever it is it will probably double in the next few weeks. The number is really silly to spend money on as WDFW does, the area is tied to 10,000's of thousands of square miles of wild country that wolves freely, Oregon and Washington portion, move through. The little shaded blobs the State shows does not impede movement and they do move a bunch.
