Watched 4 wolves chasing 2 does on the high hunt this year.  GPW  hunting white pass/Indian Head. Reported it to WDFW.  Wasn't the only hunter that saw them.

Oct 6th, 4:30pm, saw a black one at the junction of S Mill Creek Rd and Thomas Mt road, Stevens county.
It was sitting on its haunches when I first saw it.  Thought it was a bear at first.  Stood up and trotted across the road and thru a semi- open area for about 75 yards.  It was on the small size.  Did not have my camera with me or it would have been a pretty good picture.  About 50 yards from my quad when it moved off the road.  Pretty common around here.

Heard wolves in unit 166 off the end of Green Ridge. Steep thick area never saw them. Observed deer running hell bent for election near Little Turkey Tail ridge, the were acting more like scared Whitetails than Mule deer. Never saw what was on their tail, whatever it was they didn't like it at all.

Wonder if that's the one that ran off with a kid's deer head a couple years ago. I think they were camped at the Beaver Lodge when it happened. That one was real young from the story I heard. I saw a picture of the buck, had a pretty nice rack. Never found the head that I heard of.

does a video clip of them howling at night count? I got some videos on the muzzle loader deer season opener of wolves (pretty positive it was wolves) howling up the canyon from me. audio quality isn't the greatest, and makes em seem further away then they truly are. I was on sand canyon road, just outside of Chewelah.

I was camped in the first camping site on the left after you cross into national Forest, aboit 75 yds from camp we found some kill sites in early September, old bones that were chewed up and stuff.

Here's one of the videos I took, quality is pretty marginal, came off my cell phone. As I was hiding in my truck lol

Hard to say for sure with the sound quality but that sounds more like a coyote warning howl to me

Sitka,  actually the head was found and returned to the young man.  It was found in the spring with the tag still attached.  Did some research thru Fish and Game and got the name and address. Sent it to him or is uncle.

Heared several, probably 4 or 5 , wolves howling just after daylight this morning near the intersection of 3330 and 124 roads in the Manastash unit.  Spoke to several other hunters in the area that also heared them.
