I saw one on the way to work this morning.  He was trapped between the bank and my rig.  I tried to get a pic of him but he kept running in the ditch so the pics turned out blurry.  He finally found a hole to dive into.  Didn't have time to stick around and see if he'd poke his head back out.

:yeah: I really, really want to get one mounted.  First time I saw one I got all excited.  Then I started looking in the regs and found out the bad news.

I've only seen 7 in Washington my entire life. They are cooler than just about any critter in this state.

Location was about 5 miles outside of Ephrata WA.
In the late 60's and mid 70's we had a bunch, then you never saw any, but I have noticed the last couple years there are more, do not know the reason, not too many predators that want to mess with one.

Here's the one I saw the other day.  He's running in the ditch and I'm pacing him trying to take a pic out the passenger window.

I saw my first badger in person this weekend.  30 yards away on my bike - I got the stare down for about 20 seconds and then he turned and went about 10 yards and gave me the stare down again for another 20 seconds, and then he took off into the brush.

Very cool pic. Hate the *censored*s though - not good for stock.

Definitely haven't seen as many in WA as down on our place in OR. Here's one in the Palouse region, saw one just the other day outside of Prescott and another on the road playing sail cat in the same area.
