« on: July 08, 2011, 03:57:28 PM »
Picked up a new to me slicer off craigslist this week, now waiting for my long 10 day wait for the buckboard bacon so I can put it to the test.

Wow, it looks like you could just slap a rear quarter from a hog on that thing and have no trouble making quick work of it!! :yike:   :chuckle:
I wouldn't mind getting one of those myself for bacon, jerky, and thin slicing meet for stir fry and sandwiches.

Yes it is a bit overkill, but I used it last night on some home made summer sausage and man it works great. Definitely will last me a lifetime and will go great in my meat room once I build one.  :IBCOOL:

It is a U.S slicing machine company. It has a 1/3 h.p motor, I picked it up for $300. Seemed like a fair price for one in this size.

I haven't heard much about them like a Hobart, but the guy stated it had been gone through,he had even repainted it. And after seeing it and hearing  it run, I had to add it to my processing equiptment. Its a heavy piece.

Beauty.  My wife picked this up off of CL last month for my birthday.  It's a Globe 12" model.  A real workhorse and HEAVY.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice
