Good day in the San Juans...
« on: July 10, 2011, 06:42:22 PM »
Caught my 1 fish limit. 22 pound hen. Had one even bigger up to the side of the boat but I lost it before my buddy could net it. All in all a good sunday.  First pic is from my buddy's cell phone the other is after I cleaned it.

Nice fish there! That one will make for some good eating! Did you steak or fillet it?

Great looking fish, I see Eagle point in the background!  We fished all weekend in the PSA derby and ended up winning the second best price after the Cash, we one a 3 day 2 night fishing trip to Uculet on the Canadadian princess boats with a 29lber!  Way to go on the fish, there was a zoo of people out this weekend....

Herring catch fish, but your line is not in the water so much of the time because of the dog fish that you cant keep off.  Terminal/artificial gear, needle fish hoochie skirts are the go to lure for the San Juans.
