All I know is that it doesn't work for me to start comparing to how many shoes she has.

It goes something like this:
She says: "You bought another gun?  Why do you need so many guns???"
I say:  "Well, why do you have so many shoes?"  You don't need that many shoes."
She says:  "Well, why do you have so many fishing rods?" You don't need that many rods."
I say:  "Why do you have so much jewelry?" You don't need that much jewelry."
She says: "Why do you have so many fishing lures?" You don't need that many lures."
I say:  "Why do you have so many stamps?" You don't need that many stamps."
She says:  "Why do have so many guns?"
I say:  "Why do you have so many purses?"
She says:  "Why do you have so many fishing rods?"
I say:  "Why do you have so much jewelry?"

You get the idea.  It never ends......you could argue for hours about it.  We both have hobbies and accumulate stuff.  Stuff she has seems silly to me and I guess the stuff I have seems silly to her.  I think once you're together long enough, you learn to not get into those comparison arguments too often because there just isn't going to be a winner of the argument.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Im not married yet, but my live-in girlfriend doesnt argue too much about my guns. I bought her a shotgun that she likes, and I buy her girly stuff once in a while to make up for guns. At a current count of 13 guns, it is getting a little harder to justify any new guns. Even for me to justify for myself. I could use a strictly for the skeet range gun, thats justifiable. Im trying to figure out how to add 3 more .22s to my current 5. And how to justify a 3rd pump shotgun? Or a Model 70 featherweight that I really only want bc its a pretty gun that might become an heirloom. I wouldnt carry that nice of a rifle in the woods.

I found the best way is to take her shooting and let her shoot H20hunter's .45

We're on our way home and she says "I want one of those!"  :IBCOOL:
