Friend. Typical gopher snake. Most venomous snakes will have a triangular shaped head with "cat like" eyes.

cute little rat eater....if its a Washington snake the only one to worry about is gonna be a rattling variety the rest of our snakes are non venomous
other parts of the country they have real pretty real venomous snakes that they can keep thank you very much...I like snakes but not venomous ones...
