Doe Shoulder mounts lets see them
« on: July 17, 2011, 04:08:16 PM »
Looking at getting my first doe this year and first anything with a archery tag   I want to get it mounted, and was wondering if you guys and gals could post pics of your doe shoulder mounts.  I am looking for ideas on poses.  Thanks for reading the post :hello:

Never heard of a doe shoulder mount. I'm not opposed one bit to whacking a tasty little doe but mount it.....maybe for real life decoy but the cost.....sorry, don't see it happening. My first doe I did have the hide tanned and gave it to my dad as  a gift but a mount....don't think you are going to see many.

I was planning on getting a doe mount from my daughters first deer, but it did not work ut the way I planned, so we had it European Mounted and looks pretty good.

The only doe mount i have seen was neck mount. Just the neck and head, no shoulder, but it looked cool  8)

My uncle had a doe mounted in the same pose as a big buck and placed it slightly under and off to the side of the buck. Looked really cool. You must have a lot of money and wall space.

Yeah, never seen a doe mounted aside from at Cabela's or similar stores myself. . . You might look at getting a nice euro mount done.   :dunno:

I also plan on getting my daughters first deer mounted. Probably will be a doe, but that's OK. I have seen it done. Also in a neck mount on full alert. The taxi had it in there home next to a buck.
I had never thought of getting one done, until I seen there together side by side on a wall.

GL on your hunt.

I have a second deer tag this year.  A doe would be good eating.  I have never mounted one as I typically only mount the big bucks I shoot.  The smaller ones racks get thrown into a pile.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

I did that mount about 6 years ago.  Back then $400.

Now probably $625ish after tax because it is a wall Pedastal.
