Your "woods gun?"
« on: July 19, 2011, 03:42:13 PM »
Just got a call that the glock 20sf I ordered came in today! :IBCOOL: it'll be fed some 220gr buffalo bore hardcasts. Should be adequate enough for any trouble that may come my way :chuckle:

What's gonna be on your hip this hunting season?

During bear hunting I'll have my Springfield XD with 13 rounds of 230 grain ball ammo. During archery I'll have my trusty 870 with slugs on hand leaning against the tree while I wait my perfect shot on a deer.

.40 cal compact. More for two legged animals than four legged animals. If i'm in grizz country then I can pack a .44mag revolver.

FYI, If your hunting a true archery season its not legal to carry anything but a handgun. Your 870 would be illegal....

Can't imagine why I'd want to pack around the extra weight of a hand gun while I'm hunting with a rifle or shotgun.

For just hiking or scouting before the season a Taurus Tracker in 41Mag.

AWS
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska
