Anyone think they are in better shape due to the cool spring and summer on the wet side?

I have no clue myself but in all the trailcam pics I have seen on this site the coats all look real nice.

yeah I think they may be better than usual this year ...do to the cooler weather ... especially up high ...

Ditto!   I saw a giant trophy and a smaller version.  Both coats looked good, the big one especially good.   I don't tend to even think about harvesting bear in August, but he sure would have gotten an arrow.

 :tup:  good Luck.  Sound like it will be a good bear hunting.  Hope it stay under 65* open week.  Wont hunt, I need get heal from chronic pains but Enjoy your hunting.  Hope it wasn't a black coat (person)    :bdid:

The Bears I've been seeing haven't had any rub marks at all as far as I could tell.I let one walk up to about 25' of me the other day & it definitely had a full coat. 8)

My spring bear sure was pretty :chuckle: with it being cooler they may not be as rubbed up in the early part of the season.

Today our high was in the 70's around Colville. My son in Idaho told me he thought it was nearly cold enough to snow up high over there the other night.
