Need advice, my season just got shortened
« on: July 23, 2011, 08:41:21 AM »
Greetings all,  this is my first post although I've been a member for almost a year.  I'm active duty and turns out I have to go away really soon and won't return until next summer.  So bummed to miss deer season!  Hoping to go bear hunting for a day or two but my time is running really short.  Live in kitsap area and would certainly appreciate any pointers as I'm new to bear hunting.  by the way, I've really enjoyed reading your posts over that past year.

Sorry to hear your season got shortened.  :'(

Hope you get the chance to fill one of your tags before you depart.

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

Good luck finding a bear before you leave and stay safe while you are gone!
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Thanks for the thoughts!  I hope to have internet access when I'm gone so I can follow everyone else's hunts this year.  I think I'll snoop around kitsap, GMU 627 (hopefully for a few days) in August.  Just bought a predator call to try out-should be fun.
