What is the best Travel Trailer?

Very similar to my story. I really think this is the norm with any travel trailer manufacturer. You just have to work out the bugs.

That sucks, but cant you just reach up there and tighten it by hand?

Yup, have about 6 things so far. Not happy but I know this is normal. I swear if I owned a trailer company Quality control would be number 1. Pretty sure they don’t have that position at the factories.

had the same thing happen with both new boats also

Dang it, that sucks.
We took ours out this weekend.  Everything worked great and only have one issue that I will be taking the trailer back to the dealer for this week.
I suspect you will have the same issue, so I would add it to your list of fixes.
On the awning support that runs from the top of the trailer down, the manufacturer glued this support/track onto the side of the trailer.
I suspect glue was used because no one has any desire to screw more holes into a trailer. 
Well, coming home, the glue failed and the awning support stuck out off the side of the trailer a foot riding the wind.
The top part where the actual awning rolls up and rest against the trailer is bolted on.
When I got home, I opened the awning to let it dry out and inspect this issue and noticed there are holes in the support/track for it to be bolted to the trailer to avoid this issue.
I will be dropping it off tomorrow and telling them to screw the awning on and seal it under warranty.
It would be like buying a new car and the trunk flapping in the wind on the way home from the dealer.
All in all though, that is a very small issue and we are still pleased and just waiting for the bigger stuff to stand out and be fixed if needed.

And, yeah, we have saw dust in all the drawers and ducting vents.  lame.

Dang, that sucks, I will have to take a look at it when I get home.  Thanks for the heads up, Why, Why, Why!!!!!!!!!!  Just a tiny bit of QC and this stuff wouldn't make it off the factory floor.

The more I am thinking about this the more I am thinking this glued feature might be a good thing.
If I ever forgot to close it in a huge wind storm, I would want the glue to fail and have these supports/track rip off the glue instead of ripping holes in the side of the trailer.
BUT, I also don't want to drive down the road and have the glue fail, like what happened to me.
I will discuss with the dealer and service manager and see the best path.
I might just have them reglue it and see how long it last, then if it fails again, I will screw it on and be super anal about retracting the awning when it is out and windy.

I would not want my awning support to come unglued/unscrewed in a wind storm, just roll it up.

Think of the damage that thing could cause if it came loose.  Especially if it's attached to a rolled out awning, which would basically become a sail.

For all the reasons you guys are bringing up I would never buy a new rv. You can buy a two or three year old rv that someone else has worked all the bugs out and save lots of money and in many cases these trailers are still like brand new.

I decided to work on our trailer myself, it’s going pretty good. Fixed the leak, secured the draws, and did some other small fixes.  Tacoma RV in fife have been good and we didn’t even buy it from them, wish we would have.
