@ antlershed I think I fit the description you outlined. I'd love to get in on a trip over there.

My cousin went over last week and fished with one of the guides. Here is how they did.

OK  lets make this thing happen Friday March 20Th - Sunday the 22ND.  Leave Friday afternoon/evening.  We can figure out a common meeting place and caravan to the lake if wanted.  As far as accommodations I am working on trying to get us into a house/cabin.  If that does not work we can look at getting into a motel.  One other option is campers/trailers.  Not sure how we could work that out though.  What do you guys think about doing a little tournament? Maybe $20 per person.  This would go to the boat with the most fish.  Then have a side pot of $10 per person for the person with the biggest fish.  This would be a combination for both days. It could be a good chunk of change for the winners/winner.

Lets get a list of who is bringing a boat and who is going.  You must be a member of HuntWa to be in the tournament.  As I said before I suggest 3 guys per boat but if you are comfortable with fishing more that is OK.  Running down riggers with more than that can be a little awkward.  Any other ideas you have please include.

I can't make it this weekend BC, but can the next weekend.  Let me know if this gets pushed out a week or two.

What depth are you trolling at for the lakers this time of year? Ay general areas and or tips? Thinking about doing it sometime soon. Lures?

thanks

Chris

200-300 feet and within 1 foot of the bottom the whole time.  Bigger flatfish or similiar lures work.  Color doesnt matter a bit since it is much to dark to see at that depth.  Just make sure your lure makes lots of vibration.

holy crap guys, these fish are amazing.  Will the fishing for lakers still be hot in April?  10 more days till I'm in WA and I'm certainly interested in fighting a few of those brutes.

Not sure that I will be able to make it this trip, too much going on. April may be the time I can go.
