I took my wife over for her birthday/valentines.  Saturday we fished for just under 4 hours and boated 7 fish and lost a really big fish at the back of the boat :'(.  The fish were all between 3 and 6 lbs.

Hey FIFF do you recognize the rod? :chuckle:

Sounds like fun, my daughter and a friend and I fished over there with a charter guy (Dad's something or other?) many years ago and had a blast.  My ex and I used to catch some awesome rainbows up off of Grade Creek back in the mid 90's.

Looks like one lucky bidder from the sportsmans convention in Bellevue will get to go with Drew on a laker trip in the near future in that new boat of his!  Way to go Drew for donating the trip!

We just got back again and I forgot my camera so a buddy had a cheap-o and another buddy showed up with his wife today and she took a few pics as well.  FIFF boated a 16.8 lbr within 4 minutes of being in the water on Sat.  Total we boated 15 in two days and had to really work for what we got.  We caught them between 38 and 202 feet.  We also got to see a monster Tom on Sat. morning at 2 a.m. right down the street from my house, I bailed out of the truck and got 30 yards from him.

BC the kings will start turning on in a short time with this warmer than usual water temps.  Got some real nice ones 14 - 18 lbs by june last year, and should be better this year.  Then we started fishing the kings on the Icicle, crowded but killer, then back to Chelan for more brights.  It's a kick in the ars, probably see ya there.  Don't know each other well yet but will if you're going to be fishing Chelan.  When it slows down for kings and lakers and your bored, the smallies will kick ars around the town docks and bridges with 6' rods, 8#, with reapers, grubs and plugs in crawdad or grey smoke and silver, red flake.  Picks up at the end of april till june.  Probably didn't need to tell you any of this, because it's evident you catch plenty already. :)   :)
Have fun and rip some lips :chuckle:
DF John

Hey, DF thanks for the info on the kings!  Out of a couple hundred lakers we have boated in the last several years I have only caught one king.  As far as the smallies go I used to tournament fish and got burned out on fishing because of it.  Im starting to get back into fishing again and bass is out of the runnings for me.  Maybe a little top water every now and then would be a little fun.  Im actually looking forward to carp shoot out of the boat because we can shoot off the top of the cab!
