  good choice bud ... out of a 300 or 06 thats what I would pick...I may use my 300 WSM this year ..give my .270 a break he has worked hard over the years

The lever action Marlin with the .308 Express is ready. For rainy weather my Ruger M77 All Weatehr .270 is printing an inch high at 100 and ready as well.

Might carry 44 mag if I see a Huge one over 21"  sure why not.     probablly wont hunt due to my injury,  but if bear charged in to me while I walking. I will.
