If the folks on this site or having such a hard time understanding tribal rights, treaties or ceded land then perhaps we should go back to the 8th grade and pay attention in history class. I have been on and off this site for almost four years and one thing has remained the same....bitching about tribal hunting. Quit whining about it.

History class won't help me any. All it takes is a little common sense to know right from wrong. I know they have their treaties, and they have their rights. And that's all fine. They should have the right to hunt and fish just the same as we all do. But they also should have to follow the same rules and regulations, and hunt within the same seasons that we do. I really don't blame them so much as I do our government- both state and federal. If they wanted to put more restrictions and limits on the indians' off-reservation hunting, they could. But they don't do a thing to control it. The only preferential treatment they should get for off-reservation hunting is that they should be given their deer and elk tags at no charge. If they want to kill a mature bull elk in a spike only area, then they should have to apply for the same special permits that we do. That's about all I have to say on the subject right now. I will only stop whining when I retire and move out of this worthless state.

hey yak-ndn.  I dont recall ever making a racial jab in my opinions so dont throw the redneck junk around like you have the right to refer to anyone as that.  Bobcat could not hit it more on the head.  The people against tribal hunting are not against your right to carrier out what your ancestors did, we are against the fact that tribal members need special rights and laws in order to do so. And for JoeE, what the hell does history class in 8th grade have to do with tribal members getting 42 Big Horn Sheep tags for population control in 2011.

Very good and respectable response bobcat thank you. And furbearer you sound offended, every race has their trash and a slang name for them but most of you lump all Native's together and just say Native or fn Indians why? Because I know not all people in a race are the same i didn't say them stupid white people shot the *censored* out of them. That just sounds like I don't like non Tribal members and that is not the truth I have lots of friends that are white hell I am white by skin. What do you call lowlife white people so I don't lump you all together? Like most of you all do with Native's. And yes I am sure some of the sheep got killed by a bigfoot but most were killed the the snow man.
