Its gonna be a tough year on the klick.  There just isn't a bunch of steelies this year.  We were spoiled the last couple of years. With or without the trap open the fish can still get over the falls, just not a lot of fish this year.

They can do it a little easier now that the net isn't covering half of it. I fished it the last three days and there is most definately more fish now than there was the entire month of July. Have you been out?

We saw a few more fish last trip but it was nothing compared to what it has been.  Limits are a lot harder to come by this year as compared to the past few seasons.  Wild fish dominate the catch, we are seeing 4 or 5 wild to every hatchery.  The wild fish will continue to enter the system throughout the season but the bulk of the hatchery fish are over the falls by the first of July.

I agree. The trap is saying 1 hatchery for every 12 fish. The trap said two days ago there was a big bunch of fish go thru.

Thats good news and definitely what I wanted to hear. Myself and two other guides fished last Thursday and between the three of us with 2 guests each hooked 3 fish. One nice hatchery buck about #12 and two wild hens about #8. Should be fishing good next week with fish coming in now and cooler temps on the way
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.
