Youth Doe and 2nd Doe Tag For Unit 204
« on: July 27, 2011, 10:21:24 PM »
My 15 year old son drew a youth doe tag and a second deer tag for Unit 204 on his first try. Does anyone know any private property owners who may give permission for him to hunt in the 204 Unit?  Alternatively, we would greatly appreciate it if any of you can give some ideas on DYI public land areas within the unit for him to hunt.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Lots of public land to hunt. My nephews have had the doe tag several times. It's very easy to fill the doe tags in 204.

Youth doe tag for unit 204 should be an any antlerless deer tag (whitetail or muley) my daughter drew the same tag  :IBCOOL:. There is a ton of national forest land in unit 204 and finding a doe should be real easy (should be!). We were over there last weekend and will be again every two weeks until the season opens (I drew a second deer tag for Sept. 9-Oct.8 private land only) so we will be over checking cams and watching the deer move mornings and evenings. We counted 15 deer last Saturday night in the NF just driving the road back to the cabin . Get yourself a NF map at the ranger station in Tonasket just as you head out of the north end of town on hwy 97, it will be very helpful. Good luck and look forward to a good story and some pictures.

I believe if you look back through the deer hunting forum there are a few other posts on this same hunt
