Any good charters out of Ilwaco?
« on: July 28, 2011, 04:32:23 PM »
I am going on a family trip to Seaside, Or August 17-21st and was hoping to do a charter trip out of Ilwaco. A few years ago when I was down there I did a trip out of Depot bay and we did not do worth a darn. Yet the last few yeas when I fish out of westport the fishing is great. So I am hoping the fishing will be good out of Ilwaco and then I wont have to drive the extra 1.5hrs to Westport. Does anyone know of a good charter service for bottom fishing out of Ilwaco,Wa?   Thanks.

I second that pacific salmon charters has always treated my friends and I great! You may want to check and see if they have any boats going out bottom fishing because most will be salmon fishing out in the ocean. Good Luck!

Pacific Salmon Charters is the only one we use.
Ask for Robbie's boat or Milt's boat.

Another vote for Sidewinder charters, Toby is one of the best.

Do not book on a Ilwaco charter from the Ilwaco charter Assoc. they are a bunch of commercial fisherman nut huggers.

By the way, those dates should be about the peak of the run at Buoy 10 this year, plus good tides.

Pacific Salmon is excellent! Always a great time. I have never had a bad trip with Seabreeze either. Pick one, and have a great time!
