Phelps Game Calls - NEW Elk Mouth Diaphragms!
« on: July 28, 2011, 09:17:01 PM »
I am now offering two mouth calls to go along with my external cow call.

I have a single reed call that is very easy to use and makes excellent cow talk and bugles very easily.
The double reed is a little more diffcult to make cow talk with (with practice some excellent cow talk can be made) also makes excellent bugles.
You can have both calls shipped to you for $12.50.

You can see a video showing the calls in action (Sorry I was inside, the wind was blowing to hard outside).

Even if you aren't interested, I appreciate feedback on the quality and accuracy of the sounds the calls make.

I will check them both out, I am always game to try out new diaphragms.  I really like the cow call you sent me last year.

Thanks guys.

Note to potential customers: The orange double reed is way easier to blow on the second or third day for some reason.  I have repeated this many times.  As a matter of fact I worte this call off when I first tried it but I picked it up on day two and it shined.

I wasn't real happy with the bugles.  That little primos tube isn't very good and it altered the break over point on the reed.

Both calls sound very good, and bugle really well. Still working on perfecting that double reed chirp, but overall I'm happy with calls. Definitely something to check out if you're a diaphragm guy.

Thanks guys.  I have more of these ready to ship.
I have a feeling that these calls will be the last sound a few bulls hear this year (Hopefully my own).

I am going to put these up for a one week sale for $10 shipped to your door.  I want to get feedback on these calls this year so I can consider making changes that you guys' feel is necessary.

The more I play and mess with these the better they sound.

So on your site how do you order your cow calls?

I currently don't have the mouth calls on my website.  They are a new item and I need to do some work to get them on there.

You guys can order them directly through me with an e-mail, pm, or through this post (not quite as convenient).

If you were wondering about the external cow calls the link below is the easiest way.

I think you guys will like these, they are easy to play and sound great.

I have been using my 2 diaphram calls for quite a while now and they sound great and are easy to use. One down fall for me is the body is too large for the roof of my mouth so it is harder for me to use them . Id like to see some smaller sizes. I compared them to some other top quality calls and they were wider on the aluminum frame by an1/8 inch or so. For me that was the only downfall to the reeds. Reeds were great for bugling , cant wait to use the green reed for a locator call as it seems to hit that tone that I like real easily!! Again, nice calls Jason!! Hope to put them to use!!! in the nook

I still have a lot of these available.  I would like to clear these out before next elk season.

Now when you order one of my external reed custom wood elk calls you can purchase either one of the reeds for an additional $2.50 or both for $4.00

These calls worked very well on Roosevelt's this year.  Be sure to check out the video later this year when the Primetime Outdoors releases their hunts.
