First flock of the season!!!
« on: August 30, 2011, 08:24:56 PM »
Sitting on my deck this evening looking out over Port Susan. Saw about 50 Speckled Bellies flying high and headed south. Nothing seems to get me pumped up like the first flocks of geese headed south. Something magic about the sound they make!!!   :)

 nice.... lol i chub a little bit every day walking to work across the cedar river bridge at the airport... some mornings you could walk across the water theres so many ducks and geese.

the man at the airport i envy most is the guy who gets to drive around with a shotgun full of blanks and shoot to scare the birds off the runway...

There were a large group of them in the Samish Bay area last week.  Good to see the migration start.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

I was replacing some roofing a week ago  on my house and had some resident Honkers fly over about 15 ft above my head... I think i'm gona hit the early Honker season this year!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
