« on: July 30, 2011, 10:03:51 PM »
We are having our hunter warm up 3d to get ready for hunting season. All the shots are going to be realistic hunting shots. We are located at 20409 E Hickox Rd, Mount Vernon Wa, 98273. Cost is $10 For adults We have a Face book Site Silver Arrow Bowmen. Look us up for pictures and a description of our club. We have put a bunch of work in to our club lately. Our indoor range has a new metal roof. Today we put in a new bridge across the creek near targets 1&2 and we will be replacing all of the bridges this year... We started making the 2nd bridge after installing the first one today. Our Yearly memberships are CHEEP! $30 for a single and $40 for a family. Our daily use fee for non members is $2 per person a day. We have a flat range with a covered shooting. Yardages of 10,20,30,40 & 50Yrds... There will be food available at the shoot... Come check us out! We are near I-5 in Mt Vernon...
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

We had a pretty good turnout at Silver Arrow Bowmen. We had 30 targets and lots of hard shots. I thought it worked out pretty well. We scored it for fun and you cold move closer but not back. back one stake x2 points forward 1 stake 1/2 points... 10 & 8 for kill shots, -10 for wounding the animal (normally a 5) and -100 for whacking the the cow elk on one of the shots where you were suposed to shoot the bedded bull...  Our club has come a long way in the last 2 years. We still have some bridges to replace this month. they will all be like the one that was at the first target...  I shot all the challenge shots and scored toomany -10's because i was just an inch or 2 out of the kill zone.  :bash: I also gave an arrow or 2 up to the archery gods... Hope you all have a good hunting season.! The club is open 7 days a week for the flat range and walk through for $2 a day! 10-50yrd flat range adn only 3 min off I-5 in mount vernon... Get you bow set up!
