Saw a bear in my spot all three times I scouted this week and then nothing shows in opening morning. Bummer. Maybe I'll get up there an evening this weekend.

your not kidding about being jinxed.  Went to my spot this morning, everything seemed fine.  Not much had changed since april.  Then 5:30 came,  It sounded like i was hunting on I-5.  apparently they are logging there now and i am here to tell you it was crazy.  All sorts of  logging trucks, skyline cranes that were running up and down the mountain, chain saws. Didnt seem to matter where i went on the mountain, you could hear it from five miles away.  Just horrible.  Oh well, better than working.
