BEAR HUNTING NEAR MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON
« on: July 31, 2011, 10:11:46 PM »
I AM GOING TO BE CAMPING NEAR MARYSVILLE, WA NEXT WEEKEND AND WANTED TO KNOW OF ANY PUBLIC LAND OR AREAS TO HUNT WITH 30 MINUTES OF THERE.  I HAVE HUNTED DEER ON PHINNEY PEAK NEAR DARRINGTON BUT NOT SURE IF I WILL HAVE TIME TO DRIVE UP THAT FAR.  ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE HELPFUL.  BTW MY FOXPRO FURY ELECTRONIC CALL WILL BE DELIVERED ON TUESDAY CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT OUT ON THE MEAT EATERS.

Head out towards Granite Falls. You can head up the Mountain Loop Highway and find something to shoot at.

There are days where it will take 30min just to get to the freeway from Lake Goodwin. Are you set on camping there? I would suggest camping out towards Verlot, etc.

Keep in mind that you'd have to go east of Hwy 9 just to hunt with a rifle.
