Yeah I’m not a fan harsh draw and I have owned two martin bows in the last 3years, they all had harsh draws in my opinion. The prices are good but there is a lot of good competition with better bows out there.

Depends on what you want to spend.

Others may not like the draw cycle or other features, but they may be talking about a lower model. The Firecat 400 is their flagship model. I have the previous year TR2 and its an awesome bow. VERY smooth, VERY accurate, VERY fast. With the new TRG system too, I do not know too many bows that offer a better bang for the buck. Plus you are supporting a NW Hunting manufacturer which is always cool.

If you are looking to spend under 1K.. feel good about the Firecat 400. In fact Bill at Nockpoint in Mt. Lake Terrace has a few there to try. Have him set it up for you and give it a try.

If you got more spend.. over 1K.. go buy a Hoyt or Mathews.. but realize the ROI drops dramatically when you step up to their bows while the price rises for not all that much more.

I had the saber too and yes I must say that both of those are on the mid to lower end of their product offerings as I found the Firecat to be a tremendous difference when I stepped up to it.

Still liked my saber though.. for the money.. hard to beat!

i have been shooting martin bows for 20 yr you will not fined a better bow no the marked. you just to find a good shop

I shot one at Nockpoint and I liked the bow but it had a real skinny handle so I didn't end up buying it.  Had a Martin for 30 years previously.
