Any takers on Bear Hunting Near Marysville?
« on: August 02, 2011, 01:18:20 AM »
I put a earlier post about hunting near Marysville this weekend.  I changed my plans and will not be camping but staying in a hotel.  Anybody than knows the area up for partnering for hunting possibly Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday mornings?  I will be bringing my brand new Fox Pro electric game call to try and call in a bear.  My son has a soccer tournamet in Marysville and plan to go to his Saturday afternoon games.   I huntedFinney Peak area about 20 years ago and was impressed by all the game we saw in only a couple of days.  I even ran across a small group of Goats.  The old Billy had a bad leg that he gimped around on.  The same day I shot a 2 point black tail and we saw the biggest friggin porcupine I have ever seen.  My buddy I was hunting with was a wildlife biologist and about wrecked his Toyota 4x4 trying to stop and jump out and get a photo.  He said this thing was freakishly big.   Looked like a pig covered in bamboo skewers.  I know short notice but if anybody is interested in hooking up send me a PM.  I am not a selfish hunter and want to get out as much as I can this month and gain experience using a call for the meat eaters.
