D-Rock...thanks again for stopping by last night. Even the wife agreed that it was pretty cool for my boy to come out in his pj's to check out the bear. He was talking about it right up to the point when he fell back asleep. Now I'm really jacked for the weekend. My turn now.

How long did it take you to get that boy skinned out last night? Plans for the skull/hide/mount?

Game department is going to call me back with info on the ear tag and collar.  She told me they don't like the animals to be consumed with in 60 days of being tag.  Well that's great because I already dropped him off at the butcher this morning. Lets hope its been more than 60 or I killed the little bugger for nothing  :bash:

Congrats on the bear.
As for the DFW, you would think they wouldn't tag anything within 60 days of the opening of the season.  Good luck.

Just don't shoot ones with collars and no worries.  They have relocated a record number of bears.  All the food is down low do to late summer and heavy snow fall.  Most berries were buried over the 4,000 ft mark, with some exceptions on south facing slopes.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
