wenatchee river and chiwawa river fishing.

i will be on vacation with my family right next to the chiwawa river,.. not too far from the mouth (wenatchee river)  any god fishing in the rivers right where we'll be staying?  i will make a couple trips to fish lake and wenatchee lake,.. but just want to kow what my possiblilties are right out of the cabins back yard.

Fly fishing with Royal Coachman or Misquotes. At least that what worked about 40 years ago.  ;)
times before with just leather, wool and cotton.

ooooh.....  i don'y think it is...  well that sucks,.. the cabin we're staying at is like 20 feet away from the river,.. i cant fish it  :bash:

Nearly all of the rivers and streams in that area are closed (Chiwawa,Little Wenatchee,White) unless you head up above anadromous fish barriers (look at the regs for details).

Nothing wrong with Fish Lake or Lake Wenatchee though.

You have to go pretty high to fish the Chiwawa. The Wenatchee is open for kings from the Dryden dam to the mouth, so thats a ways below you. Big dollies in Lake Wenatchee, but you cant keep any. Fish lake for your planters and some big ones, good perch to. Sounds fun, good luck.

There are reasons I am a curmudgeon. One of the reasons is I was a little sh!t practically raised up there. I haven't fished it in a long time because I treasure the memories of my dad and great grandparents and great uncles. Let us know how the fishing turns out. Maybe I'll go back up there to remissness.
