Toyota v.s. Ford

WOW, i have to go with clockum on this one. one thing i would like to see from all mfg's is going back to a simpler model. enough with all the computer operated crap, heated seats, memory for different drivers, ect.. it goes on & on. the trucks i like the most are the simple ones, less costly to mfg ,operate & have less maintenance problems. guess im old school but if toyota (or any of the others) would come out with a model like my 91 toy basic model i might buy one. PS my other truck is a 76 GMC ive had since 82. ( 3 mo's, 2 trans, 1 transfer case) sorry ford dudes. especially in these times i think all vehicles could be a little simpler & more fuel efficient. i dont need all that extra crap & i think sales would go up if they made a more basic model.

Amen to that.  That's why I like driving my '90 Bronco II better than my '07 GMC Canyon.  Simpler, more fun, and WAY better ground clearance.

Hmmm...all I saw on the side of the highway this weekend was a Nissan Altima--with a WSP car behind it.  Surely not the car's fault!

Here's an idea! Hook a Ford up to a toileta and see who wins. Toyota cant seem to figure out how too build a truck in an adult size.

My friends dad was about to buy a toyota truck. He was saying that they are better than any other truck so I asked him why. Get this. He said because they are the fastest truck at the truck races. I don't know what was in his mind. I told him when I buy a truck, I get something that can actually pull something. If I were gonna race a toyota with a ford I would just use a gt 40  if I were a millionare  jeepasaurusrex made a good point, all of the service cars are fords for a reason. A toy is a chicks truck

I beg to differ on "fastest". When was the last time you seen a Toyota click off anything under 18 seconds in the 1/4? My F-350 Dually Diesel @ 8,200lbs runs it in 16.8.

i am the farthest from a truck expert but my toyota tundra has great pulling power and i have had a few guys try to race me with their chevy duramax and a new ford f250 and sorry to say but it wasnt even close, my truck hooks up and moves the hell out, and i get 18 miles per gallon if i keep my foot outta it

"Built Ford Tough"  started going the other way soon after 1968. My first truck was an old ford and was dependable except for the occasional water pump or fuel pump going out. Never thought I'd get a differant truck until Toyota proved to go an extra 100,000 miles farther than a Ford before something major like the motor or tranny going out. The Japanese car manufacturer's goal is to lead in the world's car sales, and they are winning.  I would rather own a Ford and be prouder to own one but these days it's all about getting more bang for the buck! As far as longevity, dependability, and comfort the midsized Tundra or Tacoma comes out on top.. No complaints so far for TOYOTA!  They just don't make all toys anymore!

V8,  plenty of pulling power.. I heard 22 miles per gal. with a strong tail wind

You can just let the wind take those toys, and not even turn on the engine because they can't pull stuff worth S@#T  Isn't that the point of a truck
