Areas on east side
« on: August 05, 2011, 05:04:42 PM »
I am new to waterfowl hunting and don't want anyones "honey hole" but can anyone help me find some good areas to hunt near Spokane? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

You could drive a couple hours west and hunt Potholes reservoir and the public land around there. Lots of people have success out there. Not sure of any spots further east, sorry

During duck season you will be experiencing likely frigid weather in the Spokane area. Find the flowing water that will stay open. Anything slow flowing will attract birds when the weather turns. Iced-over ponds give ducks less options and If I were hunting Spokane I would take advantage of that.

Thanks for the advice Sneaky. I think I may know of a spot or two that describe that.

There are  plenty of  birds to find. I  just moved away from  Spokane. If you scout and go door to door you  will have fantastic hunting like  I had. There  is hardly any public land around Spokane. Lots  of field  hunting is available.
