I sure like the .257 Weatherby mag now.
May never use my 7mm rem mag again.

I just bought a 257 Mag Vanguard for wolf hunting. Your thoughts please. It's not put together, scope and Dednutz mount yet. Killed anything with it ?

NO kills yet but punching paper its awesome and if you read up on it, drops em fast.
Its a  stainless mark V with 26" barrel and I shoot 120s out of it @ 74 bucks a box.
I will use first time in WY for antelope unless I see a bear or yote before archery elk season.
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Cool beans... I bought Weatherby 110grn soft points for mine. 2 boxes from www.grafs.com for $ 76 to the door. Those buggers are spendy. A friend shot a 5' saw blade @ 877 yards with his. I was impressed at the distance, but not for killing an animal. I don't know what grain would be the best, so keep me posted on your adventures with it. I can't wait to shoot it...
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
