Such a nice friend I have
« on: August 09, 2011, 09:08:03 PM »
One of my close friends calls me today and asks me if I want another revolver.  Mind you, he does not hunt.
"What ya got" I ask.
Well, it's a Smith and Wesson 44 mag.
"How much" I ask.
The same price my Dad paid for it back in 1996, $595.
"OK, I'll come over and take a look" I say.
So I just came home with 8 3/8" 629 Classic DX.  The original box.  Both sets of grips.  The 1996 S&W target at 25 yds with .8 grouping.  The original box of ammo dated by his Dad from 1996 with 11 rounds missing out of the box.  Everything leads me to believe that these were the only 11 rounds sent through it.  The gun is pristine and the cylinder is TIGHT!!!

It was a good night for me.   :IBCOOL:
