Bear Activity?

What time of day are bears most active on the westside?

I have noticed that they are only active before and after I'm in the area.

I am no bear expert but I have seen them at all hours this time of year.  And from the other threads on this topic I have heard the are actively feeding up to 18 hours a day.  The problem is finding where they are active not when.
