Moose on the Centennial Trail
« on: August 12, 2011, 07:10:08 AM »
So I leave 3 weeks from today to hunt moose in Alaska.  Turns out they may have sent a scout down to keep an eye on me.  Walking my lab and twin boys on the trail between Barker and Liberty Lake last night - wouldn't you know it, bull moose standing in the middle of the trail checking me out.  He darted off toward the river and pretended to hide, but I know as soon as I left he called his buds in Fairbanks to fill them in.

Hope you are good at judging size by now.

I just moved to liberty lake a couple months ago and it is already driving me nuts how much wildlife is out here that I can't hunt.

jnevs - wait till Thanksgiving week.  The bucks chase the does off the golf courses and all through town.

Sebek - any bull where I'll be.  And 5 wolves, no tags required

There was a bull and a cow in my neighbor's pasture last sat. Good thing he did not smoke my fence.....I would have ate him.
