Does anyone know where you can find the release schedual for pheasants on the westside of the state?

In the past it's been Tues, Fri, and Saturday evenings for hunts the following day.  Plenty of birds don't get shot right away though.

The regs. have more info...

A lot of it will depend on the VOLUNTEER doing the releasing. In our area they usually release Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday morning (730ish) for an 8 o'clock start to the hunt. In years past the release guy kids sat on the hood of his truck with a .223 and shot the coyotes as they entered the release site to eat the pheasants they were putting out, one big reason why they do not release the day before around here  :twocents:.

...and it's normally the volunteers or their good buddies that get to shoot them since they know exactly where they placed them and are lined up at 5:00 am at that particular field.  I gave up on the west side...even during the week it is mayhem...never fails either an a-hole jumps you and goes to opposite side of the field you are working, or an a-hole doesn't park in the designated areas and walks in and doesn't honor the hierarchy established by the guys who do.

Sorry to hijack your post...I'm sure if you call the managing WDFW they'll tell you.

I was told that they don't release the schedule, as they don't want over crowding.

I used to release the birds when I work at the Pheasant farm in chehalis. I spread the birds out pretty well and they didnt stay where I released them. But that was 12 years ago.

Release schedules remain the same year to year as mentioned above. But the release sites to be open this year remain unpredictable until usually right before it opens.

Most pheasant hunters complain about over-crouding. Pheasant release sites could be a lot more safe and enjoyable if just a couple more were opened up between county's. Helping to dispurse pheasant hunters is the key to quality release pheasant hunting.
